Join us for an intimate performance of William Shakespeare's MACBETH by (electric) candlelight at the Moravian Church at Heritage Hill State Historical Park. Thursday, August 31st at 7pm.
The performance is free to attend, but because of limited seating inside the church we highly recommend registering to guarantee your seat. If registration fills up, we will see "walk-ins" at the performance as space permits. Seating is general. Run time is 90 minutes. We recommend bringing a seat cushion for those who may need a little extra comfort! Head here to reserve your seat: https://play-by-play-theatre.ticketleap.com/macbeth/ A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from three witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia. Forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion, he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of madness and death.
