Welcome to Play-by-Play Theatre

Green Bay's First Professional Regional Theatre Company

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support Much Ado About Nothing and Theatre in the Park — 850 people were in attendance! Thank you all for embracing Shakespeare and letting us bring the Bard to Green Bay
And thank you to our cast, musicians, and crew for a wonderful experience and two incredibly unforgettable performances!

We are so excited to once again bring you a (free) production of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing this summer with Olde Main Street, Inc (Downtown Green Bay) for Theatre in the Park 2022!

This production is made possible through grant funding from the Green Bay Packers Foundation, The Canary Fund, and The Hammock Fund, a fund of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.

July 10th, 2:30pm & 6:00pm

The Taming of the Shrew named one of the area's best professional productions of 2020

Warren Gerds, Northeast Wisconsin's "Critic-At-Large", put The Taming of the Shrew the top 5 of Best professional presentations of 2020 in our region:
Plan B turned out pretty darn good when artistic director Mary Ehlinger’s Play-by-Play Theatre of greater Green Bay presented William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” at Heritage Hill State Historical Park in Allouez. The production was originally scheduled for Whitney Park in downtown Green Bay, but managing social distancing became a problem. Wearing clear masks and performing on cement in the open air, the players eagerly responded to director Carolyn Silverberg’s keen direction to pull off a feat.
Additionally, the production was named one of the Top 10 pro, local productions in Northeastern Wisconsin in 2020:
A dynamic production of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” by Green Bay’s Play-by-Play Theatre at Heritage Hill State Historical Park in Allouez.
